Often times we all experience paper jam on our office and home Epson printers however this can be very frustrating especially when we do not know what to do next. Here are 3 steps we can follow if we experience paper jam on our Epson Printer:
• Shut down the computer, then press the paper button to eject the jammed paper.
• If the error does not clear, open the printer cover and remove all of the paper inside, including any torn pieces.
• Then, reload the paper in the sheet feeder and press paper button to resume printing.
Caution:
If you cannot remove a foreign object easily by yourself, do not use force and do not disassemble the printer. Call your Epson support centre for assistance.
After following the above given steps and your Epson Printer still experience paper jams frequently, kindly make sure of the following:
• Ensure that your printing paper is smooth, not curled or wrinkled.
• Ensure that your printing paper is of high quality, loaded with the printable side faced up.
• Make sure the paper stack was fanned and separated before loading into the printing tray.
• Make sure that your paper stack is not loaded beyond the arrow on the left edge guide.
• Ensure that the number of sheets in the paper stack does not go beyond the limit indicated for that media. (Loading Capacity for Epson Printer)
• Ensure that he left edge guide is adjusted to fit your paper stack.
• Ensure that the printer is positioned on a straight flat, stable surface that goes beyond the printer base in all directions. The printer might not function properly if it is tilted or bent.
