Print head alignment helps to harmonize paper feed with the movement of the print head, ensuring you get the best print quality possible.   So as an Epson user, you would be wondering how to identify if your printer is in need of print head alignment or not. Performing a nozzle check is a good way to keep it in good condition as it extends its life span. Also ensure that all of the ink passages are visible and the lines are all free of breaks; as this action would ensure that the alignment pattern will print correctly.   An information worthy to note is that performing head alignment differs with printer models but our focus in this article will be on the Epson Inkjet models.   There are however two options for alignments which are as follows:   1. Guidelines on how to make your printer ink last longer

Every customer or client who uses an Epson printer either at home or in an office space desires that their printers are efficient, durable and the inks/cartridges last longer. However, the shelf life of an Epson printer is usually dependent on several factors such as; usage frequency, the complexity of the print jobs, the type of consumables and ink being used and the maintenance schedule on the printer. So, our aim is to provide you with some effective tips that would aid you get the most from your inks/cartridges. First, let’s chase the paper; It is highly recommended to use high- quality paper because it is easier on the print heads and ink cartridges and also helps to extend the life of a printer. High-quality paper ensures not only that the paper won’t jam up in the printer and cause damage but also that the ink adheres to the paper and prints efficiently. Poor quality paper has a tendency to rip or cause ink problems that can be detrimental over a long period of time. So be clear that to chase the paper, you must use the right paper Using high-quality ink cartridges; You Know the saying “Ink is the blood of a printer” and so every Epson printer benefits from using high-quality consumables; when the ink is made specifically by the manufacturer or is officially approved, it means there is less of a chance that the ink will leak into the printer or damage the print heads. Feel free to see quality inks here Big and bold is not eligibility When necessary avoid big and bold fonts while printing, endeavor to use small fonts or consider switching to a slimmer fonts as large fonts and bold text can cause a deplete of your ink or cartridge pretty quickly. The 3 P’s Solution; It is advisable to take an extra few minutes to follow the 3P’s Solutions which are; Proofread the document to eliminate typos, Preview the document margin and layout before Printing as this will help to avoid reprinting such documents. Another efficient tip is to preview your documents before printing. The “print preview” is built into every document editor. For customers using the latest version of Microsoft Word on your desktop or laptop, kindly select “File,” then “Print” and your document will automatically switch to preview mode. You can glance at it one last time before you send it to the printer. Fix spotty prints If your prints are streaking or spotty, it is advisable to run a print head cleaning before swapping out for new inks/ cartridges. The print head on a cartridge can dry up if your printer has been sitting dormant for a period. By running the cleaning feature, you can free up any dried ink, and hopefully keep your cartridges running for a longer period. Train employees on how to use the printer Another efficient tip related to making the ink or printer last longer relates to employee training. By training employees to use the printer, you will make sure they know which features to use and how to make the most of the device as well as increase the shelf life of the device because all the print jobs will be configured properly.
